The Super Flower Leadex is the first fully modular platform we seen from Super Flower or at least that i know of?.
At the time of this writing (June 2014) the Leadex is a little bit over a year old and it and its EVGA rebrands are some of the very best units on the market, yet many have never heard of these or the rebrands before so this is a information thread for everyone that want to know more about the Leadex.

Note that many if not all versions come in both black and white which can get somewhat confusing at times

For info on the EVGA rebrands go to the EVGA info thread instead
http://www.overclock.net/t/1395708/evga-power-supplies-information-thread

First is the Leadex Gold series

This is a fully modular 80 plus gold rated series

Wattage is 550 / 650 / 750 / 850 / 1000 / 1300 / 1600 and 2000 watts

Next one is the Leadex Platinum

This is a fully modular 80 plus platinum rated series

Wattage is 650 / 750 / 850 / 1000 / 1200 1600 / 2000 watts.

Last is the Leadex Titanium

Wattage will be 550 / 600 / 650 / 750 / 850 / 1000 / 1300 and 1600 watts.

Super Flower Leadex Gold 750 watts

The fan is a 140 mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing Fan (RL4Z-S1402512HH). The fan is from Globe Fan, and its model number is RL4Z S1402512HH (12 V, 0.5 A, 1800 RPM, 135.74 CFM, 36.7 dBA). The same fan is used by the Rosewill Tachyon 1000 W unit, a re-badged SF PSU. The "S" nomenclature in the model number usually stands for a sleeve bearing, but the label on its centerpiece is indicative of a Fluid Dynamic bearing. Globe Fan probably used an upgraded sleeve bearing they call FDB. Finally, a small plastic baffle is attached to the fan. It funnels air toward the rear of the unit.

Next is the Super Flower Leadex Platinum 1000 watts

The fan is a 140 mm Double Ball-Bearing Fan (HA1425M12B-Z). The cooling fan only carries SF's logo, but we are pretty sure that it is the same as in EVGA's unit, so its model number is HA1425M12B-Z, made by Hong Hua. It is equipped with double ball-bearings and is rated for 0.36A at 12 V. This fan can achieve 1600 RPM, but the fan-control circuit keeps it at much lower speeds most of the time. Also, it will rarely operate under normal conditions if you pick the semi-passive option.

Next is the Super Flower Leadex Platinum 1200 watts
Note that the Leadex Platinum comes in both white and black versions and this one happens to be the back version

The fan is a 140 mm Double Ball-Bearing Fan (RL4Z-B1402512EH).The cooling fan is by Globe Fan, and its model number is RL4Z-B1402512EH (140 mm, 12 V, 0.6 A, 2000 RPM, 153.47 CFM, 39.5 dBA, 70.000 MTBF). It is equipped with double ball-bearings and is rated for 0.6 A at 12 V, so it is quite strong and, hence, noisy at high speed, but the fan-control circuit keeps it at much lower speeds most of the time. It will also rarely operate under normal conditions if you pick the semi-passive option.

Next is Super Flower Leadex Gold 1300 watts

The fan is a 140 mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing Fan (RL4Z-S1402512EH).And here is the last of the two major differences to the EVGA G2 1300 W unit (the first was the combined capacity of the hold-up caps). SF chose a higher quality FDB fan by Globe Fan (model number RL4Z S1402512EH, 12 V, 0.6 A) instead of the double ball-bearings fan we found in EVGA's offering, which translates into a longer life cycle and less output noise at similar RPMs. SF apparently kept the best parts for their units or EVGA simply sought to lower the production cost to increase profit, or the ability to offer their stunning ten year warranty.

Yeah that must be the same or based on the Super Flower Leadex.

Wow! EVGA comes with 10 years of warranty, but what I don't understand is why EVGA wants a Gold label instead of Platinum. They must have changed something I guess. Hmm. Or maybe they redesigned it?

Oops I forgot something. I couldn't find the UL number and went to the EVGA forum just to find out that shilka already asked what I was going to ask there LOL

Keep Corsair out of a Super Flower thread you have millions of Corsair threads on the internet already

That new EVGA unit is based on a Super Flower unit

I may have a theory as to why its rated 80 plus Gold and not Platinum

The Leadex just barely reached Platinum efficiency so EVGA might have just said alright lets just call it Gold then

Somewhat surprising choice from EVGA, excellent one nonetheless.... now I'm most curios about pricing.

In Denmark that price would be a little bit under the Fractal Design Newton R3 1000 watts

Considering that Finland is the most expensive European market (next to, or after, Norway), we should probably expect this to be ~175€. in Germany!?... that would be nice.

Denmark is second after Norway and Finland is below Denmark i think?

So 195 in Finland would be like 210-215 here in Denmark

That would put it just above the Newton R3

How high is the tax in Finland its 25% here in Denmark

Anyway i have been thinking of doing more threads about little known underrated and overlooked power supplies

So does anyone want more of these threads?
