When I have Chinese in the file names and mp3 tags, amarok displays only what it wants- say there are 5 chinese characters in the file name, XXXXX. In amaroK it might display XXX X. It just totally ignores some characters and replaces it with a space. When I use the Chinese keyboard to type out that word, thinking that if I retype it, it might show- nothing happens. Is this a problem with amaroK? Or is this a problem with SuSE? When I googled amarok Chinese Display, users claim that their amaroK Chinese has no problems. Thanks for any help/suggestion/comment.

If it is only happening with amaroK then I'd say that that is the problem. I'd open up YaST and search for chinese and see if all the available support is installed. Could also be amaroK that came with SuSE. I'm not sure if they strip it down or not. As a last thing I'd try is going to amaroK's website and download it and install it your self then.
