Just wondering, would it be harmful to the processor if you switch between overclocked settings when gaming and default when you're not?

no problem at all

that is what some auto functions do in your bios...but it sounds like you already have a means of doing it

Tbh I do it manually lol. I overclocked my Dual Core e6700 to 3.4GHz and I pretty much only get a real benefit from it for gaming so it doesn't make much sense for me to keep those settings 24/7.

if it does what you want it to do then thats all that matters...no problem with turning it back when not needed
