Every time I've switched I just uninstall one set of drivers, swap cards and instlal the next set of drivers and I've never had any problems. You can do the method above if you want to be super safe.

Guru3D puts out a program for this: Driver Sweeper.

Never use Driver Sweeper or Driver Fusion. It causes more problems than it solves.

Yes it removes your drivers but it also deletes registry entries and .dll files that you actually need causing a whole host of issues.

In that case I'll stick with the longer process. Better safe than sorry.
