I have a budget of around 600...I will be switching out the motherboard processor and ram..But i'm clueless as to where to start I've never worked with intel before....

Everything in my systems specs will be going into this build...I'm looking for a motherboard that supports full x16 bandwith for the GPU's. I'm also looking for two gigs of ram?

I'm really not sure of where to start here?Any help will be greatly appreciated!

you want two x16 slots right? Its gonna be hard with 600 with 2g RAM too.... unless you want something slow as hell. If you can settle for 1 x16 slot, go for the Gigabyte DS3 or S3, first 149$, second 110 or so. Both get good overclocks. and alot rides on whether or not you want to overclock, and a aftermarket HSF, do you already have one? is so, which one? answer and ill be happy to help out.

thats like 700, mabye go for the P5B Deluxe, the p965 chipsets can run crossfire now. and plus, the p5w has two pcie slots, but one is only pinned as a x4. (dosent make sense i know.) and then drop that processor down to the e6400 and then overclock.

I'd definitly like to overclock but i'm not trying to hit any crazy speeds with it!

P5B Deluxe will run slower in SLI/CrossFire than the P5W DH

oh ****, sorry, yeah no boards can run the full x16 then. yeah, go for the e6400 then, the smaller L2 cache is not that much of a performance difference, and you can still overclock with that water really well.

Not great for overclocking, you could spring for a good NB cooler though, for ocing the intel are the best. although for you and your sli, this looks to be the best option. (and by that, ghetto slapping a fan on there

yeah so its up to him on how much he wants the oc or the two graphics cards. yeah, go for the e6600 and that board then, since you dont want to oc much with that. a little above your price range though

yeah but the e3400 is not as fast compared to the e6600, i suggest just making the jump to the e6600, because ocing is so limited on this board, and then you wont have to waste money on not using one of your gfx cards, and/or full potential, which would suck.
