i just ordered a new cooler, the NV120 Premium from zerotherm. It does well on the reviews with Q6600 overclcoked and overvolted big time lol. am also getting AC5 thermal.

will these settings do?
Vcore=1.5v=Vdrop actual Voltage will be 1.4v
FSB speed=?
Multi=9
FSB Vol=?
chipset=?
FSB
RAM Ratio=1:1
can i get 3.3ghz with this configuration?

will these settings work? can you help fill the missing gaps? thankyou.

Chips can vary quite a lot, but I think most any Q6600 will hit 3.3 without trouble. A good one with a low vid can go a bit higher than that.

As for the missing stuff, I'd leave chipset on auto, FSB vol on auto and slowly up the FSB untill it gets unstable. Of course if you know what you want (3.3) and you know your multi (9) then you know the FSB you need to set to make that happen

i think i will set it at 1.45 in the bios and the vdrop will make it run at 1.35v. i could try that and then run at 3.2-3.3ghz small fft prime95. the more i oc my quad, the more fps i get from my 4870 in 3dmark06 due to the bottleneck from the small screen and small res lol.
