Not your fault OP - but the article's title is completely misleading - this has nothing to do with the speed of light besides it being the final and last remaining barrier to how fast you'll get your search results returned. Google will do nothing for physics or scientific research towards the speed of light and it's limitations (as the article title implies).

In that light, very boring article. (no pun intended).
Yes and I think speed will continue to be limited by other factors not the least of which is your ISP.

The people posting here fail to see the relevance. From a technology and coding standpoint, in the world of computer science anyway, this is just as huge. Googles algorithms are incredibly sophisticated to be able to update in real time information as it is relevant to the end user. Doing this for one person is great, doing it on common topics for billions of users everyday is phenomenal.
