As confirmed by the CatalystMaker himself, Terry Makedon on his Twitter page Radeon owners will be treated to the Catalyst 9.3 next week. Apparently set for a March 18 release, the new driver will mark the end of regular support for all cards older than the Radeon HD 2000 series and it will also be available in Windows 7 form for those testing out Microsoft's upcoming OS. Set your clocks, more Catalysts are coming up.

Cool. Hopefully I'll see some performance or IQ increases. Good fine, thanks.
Besides the Win7 support, is there anything else to look forward to in the 9.3 release?
Nice cant wait to try!.
now as long as xtremeg keep their hands off this one...
In all honesty, I'd like to see ATI put more effort into Open Source drivers before they go around making drivers for a beta OS. Linux drivers for ATI cards are terrabad right now. I have to make my CPU render graphics so my system wont hang.

do the maths. sif ati wouldn't start working on drivers when the beta's out, then they've got optimised stuff ready & waiting at the official release.
COME ON [email protected] ppd increase. Would greatly benefit the Fold-A-Thon
Sweet. Well all I'm really looking forward to is being able to OC my card again with 9.3.
9.2 just refuses to OC my card, the bastard.

I'll second that. I had to roll back all the way to 8.11 to get any overclock to work. Not too happy with having to use such dated drivers. C'mon 9.3 !!

No, ATI drivers for ATI cards are not too bad right now. Everything works for me

lol at the idiots who said they can't overclock your cards with 9.2 cats. THERE IS A REASON FOR THIS! How about your card is DOING MORE WORK!

well, considering how vista drivers already work in win7, its not like they're too far off. Plus, with a more computer literate generation coming up, people are more willing to try something new.

And besides, unless ATI pulls some OSS support out of their ass, I'll be swapping to Nvidia for my next video card simply because of driver support.
