In addition to the 65nm Core 2 Duos we were talking about yesterday, Intel is also planning to phase out a few 45nm desktop processors, the 2.66 GHz Core 2 Duo E8190 and E8200, and the 2.66 GHz Core 2 Quad Q9450. Intel is set on taking orders for the three CPUs until March 6th 2009 and deliver them, in boxed and tray 'flavors' until June 5th 2009 and May 7th 2010 respectively.

Q9450 was almost impossible to find in Romania. Ever since its introduction, it has been constantly in short supply and in the late months, distributers actually pulled it out and put the Q9550 on offer.

never even heard of Romania before you posted

hehe but the e8190 and never saw much of. E8200 was kinda useless when the e8400 was faster and a couple bucks more. If having high clocked cpu's is a standard now, hope the next DC celeron will be 2ghz+

wow... that was quick...

hate it when companies do that... ah well, the Q9550 is better for the same price, so...

gosh, i lust after that chip
I don't think anyone will miss the E8200, it is literally two dollars away from the E8400 on Newegg. Plus in many other stores, they don't stock the E8200 and only have E8400s and above.
Q9450's are also practically impossible to find here. Now if only Intel could get a price cut on the Q9650 then I would be even more happier.
