OK, Team Brown.
Nice.
Looking foward to it.
Post as it is?
I agree. Surround has been the biggest change to my gaming experience since I got my first 3D acellerator card - a 3dfx Voodoo. Going from 320x240 software rendering to 640x480 Glide in Quake 2 with all the fancy lighting effects was... amazing.
Watkins Glen? love it...my triple screen creation was inspired by my iRacing habit alsoOriginally Posted by manolith

Nice setup! Is that for a 3x2 or 1 over 3 setup? It's nice place to hold your headphones though.
It's for a 3x2 setup, but I didn't want to use it for that. It was the only way to get a 3x1+1 setup in the UK reasonably cheaply. I stuck the fifth and sixth monitor arms on because it'd save me a headache trying to get them on later if I do decide to go six screen. Plus, as yous aid, it makes a good place to hang headphones.
If your building a system just for security then get a ATI firepro card. The V7900 or V8800 is a good choice and affordable if u get them on ebay but any of them that has the multiple display ports will work, usually at least 5 or 6 Display ports or Mini-Display ports.. I suggest these because they support 6 monitors with one card and your gonna need all the extra PCIe slots you can manage for the camera system input cards. I have set up hundreds of similar setups and it will do you good! You always want extra monitor support in case you end up expanding the system or if you want the display views bigger like 4 cameras for each monitor instead of 6 or 8 etc....Originally Posted by et3rn47

I have been on eggxpert chit chatting with some people who are somewhat knowledgeable with computer components, but I figured I'd come to the elitists here and see what they have to say about my situation.
I am currently on a 2 to 2.4-5 k budget for a pc of which that I want:
3 Monitors to run bf4 max/ultra
and able to run/ place mutliple home security IP cameras on/with
I have no experience with the camera thing at all, nor with the tri-monitor set-up, which lies my dilemma:
GPU?
CPU?
MOBO?
the biggest thing suggested so far is a single asus mars 760, but duel 760 in a single somewhat bogged down card doesn't sound that appealing. Sure it has nice specs, but actual performance?
What's your opinion on GPU and finally
Great value monitors that won't break my bank
