Funkycasey

hmmmmm Usually will be folding with 2 real cores and one logical, so i guess that counts as 3 cores. But at night, I will keep my gaming rig on to fold with 2 more...so I guess 3 all the time, 5 by night.

Question...that folding team number...do we put it in instead of Overclock.net's 37726??

Oh, okay! I'll use my laptop folding 2 cores and my desktop folding one core then.

But do we put our team number in our folding at home program or keep it 37726?

LOL...seems to me we just fold like regular for 37726 and the folding forum admins just compile the data every day...but not for sure on that. Maybe ya'll will have it figured out by the time i get off work tonight, lol.

You PM them about folding team matters. Here's how it works: Put your 3 fastest PCs towards the team. Those will use your normal folding name (ex: Renegade5399). Any additional folding clients would need to be set to Team_Part_Timers. Remember only 3 clients allowed per team member using your normal folding name or your team will get DQ'ed for that month and no more than 8 clients total for the team as a whole. You still fold for team 37726. Taeric and 'puter track the stats of the teams and post bi-monthly regarding the team standings.

Just to clear things up, you can fold on 100 PCs if you want, but only 3 can have your username, the rest must be set to Team_Part_Timers in order to comply with the team rules.

So, wait..say i only have 3 cores total...I put 3 cores towards Funkycasey and that contributes towards the team we just made? Or I put my user name as Team_Part_Timers?

Well, I can only fold on this comp, so its a max of one core for me.

Someone said that the max cores per team can be up to 8 in all. you have 1 core, so that leaves the rest of the team 7. I can definately do 2, but can do 3 if needed. How we gonna divide it up?

put me down for only 2 cores....1 core on my laptop and 1 core for my older desktop for right now. I can't have 3 computers running all night...my mom will kill me, lol.

Woot! I'm going on vacation June 18-29, so I am going to leave my gaming rig folding the whole time instead of the old Dell. I'll still have 2 core's going...just changing up computers. Will that be okay, or will it just mess everything up?

lol, I have my Dell xps laptop folding...I think folding messed it up a while back though...well not folding in particular, but one of the memory slots won't work on the mobo...probably overheated and shorted out, but I'm gonna have to get a new motherboard soon...tired of running only 512mb when it should be doing 1 gig.

Yeah, everything looks good already for us

I think my laptop is plowing through 2-3 Wu's a day since it's only using one core now...My dell desktop, however, is probably getting through one WU every two days, lol.

Guys, I gotta drop off the team because my computers are making the electric bill go up too much. My desktop alone uses 350 watts or so folding, and my laptop is using almost 140 watts....and I also had to buy a window air conditioner for my room b/c of the heat my computers were putting out. It was fun for the month tho! Cyas later.

lmao, guess the team is gone. Folding is for people who have enough money to pay for the energy cost of the computers and the air conditioner(s) keeping them (and you) cool.
