Temp on NorthBridge

Hi, I have an EPoX 9NPA Ultra and noticed my NorthBridge fan was quite noisey. Now in Everest I see MotherBoard temp and an AUX temp. Before I disabled the fan I had 32° C on the MotherBoard temp and 20° C on the AUX temp. Now after running at idle for about ten minutes, the MotherBoard is at 30° C and my AUX is at 26° C. So what I want to know is which temp is my NorthBridge(if any) and are the temps ok? And my computer is a lot quieter! Thanks

Well, did you do any BIOS updates?

I believe your northbridge is the 30C one though.
No, I did not update or even look in the BIOS for this. If it is the 30° one, then I guess its ok?

Yea. Either is ok, Northbridges usually get up to 50C (last i remember hearing) so you're definatley in the saftey zone.

The 9NPA+Ultra does not have a temp. sensor for the northbridge. You can replace the fan with something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835110103 (that is what I have on my EPOX). NF4 chips can take up to 75*C so I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as it has soon kind of cooling on it.
Well my NorthBridge fan has a 2-Pin connector. Do they make any fans like that? I dont have any more open 3-pin connector slots.

That Vantec cooler comes with a 3 pin connector and a 3 to 4 pin adapter so you can hook it up to your PSU.
