Temps

Hello all, I have Evga 2x660 FTW signature Video cards SLI'd of course, I was running my MLL benchmark test and then decided to run a Heaven benchmark test, I then noticed on the Heaven benchmark test that my temps on the primary GPU was ranging between 70-77c my fan speeds where maxed at 75% since or some reason that is the cap max fan speed for my GPU's. Not sure this is due to the dual fans in them but that is what they show in the fan setup on the Precision X.

My main question is what is the temp cap on these cards any why cannot I increase my fan speeds to 100% not stuck at 75%. This has confused me since I bought these cards. Thanks to all the replay here are some pics of my tests and my fan control setting in Precision X

is that the newest precision X,,maybe try an older version,,i,m using precision X 4.0 so I can use the onscreen display
I would if I could find a older version to download, It seems to me that they all take me to Evga's website and all I can download is the 4.2.1 version, which I already have.
Hello again, I just noticed that Evga has a program called SLI enhancement, its a unofficial program that uses a older driver the 313.96 driver. They claim that it helps enable the SLI Tech in games, but I am not sure I can use it cause I am using a newer driver, I am also wondering if it would help any on performance or would it mess things up, has anyone else heard of this program or maybe using it and it works fine. Thanks to all that reply

If I remember correctly the only thing the EVGA SLI enhancement does is to install profiles for newly released games that were unsupported by the drivers on the time of their release.
It seems this program is not updated anymore so it's obsolete. If you install the latest drivers you should get the latest profiles and through Nvidia update or Nvidia Geforce Experience any updated profiles.

http://www.evga.com/precision/#Legacy

heres an older one,,,2 or something,,,check out the precision legacy,,,,

I don't know if it will help but its worth a try anyways,,
I contacted Evga about my GPU's and they said that most of the 660 Ftw series cards the fan speed was capped at 75% and that it is Ok. Not sure what to believe but that was also told to me by another email I got from nvidia so I guess that is there max fan speed. Since they have dual fans. I did try the Precision X that came with my Gpu's on the disc which was version 3.1.something.. It still showed the fan maxed speed at 75%.. Thanks for your feedback though. I will still try that older Precision Legacy download and let ya know.
