Text replacement program

I'm looking for something that works in Windows that can replace text such as making misspellings like "aer" to "are" and such things. Case sensitivity is a must. Texter from lifehacker seems to break strokeit, as I've already tried it. Thanks!

So, are you looking for a spell-checker that works pretty much everywhere in Windows?

A simple replacer?

Simply use Notepad. Hold Ctrl and press H to bring up a "Search and Replace" dialog, and tick the "Match case" checkbox.

I would rather it do it automatically.

That's exactly what I thought. I think it would be really cool to have something like that!

So far, I haven't heard of anything like that, but I also haven't been looking for one.

Not sure what you mean by this, but I assume you mean it "remembers" what you want changing and applies it to the block of text given in one click. Correct?

I'm not aware of any software that does this. Well there is the Spell Checkers in various office suites, but they ask you to confirm each and every item.

It shouldn't be too hard to code... Maybe I'll have a look into it later tonight.

We're looking for a spell-checker that checks every single little text field throughout Windows.

Looking for freeware or something similar. This works well, but its hard to justify the price.
