Whenever I play TF2 I crashed a lot, although when I play in window mode (or borderless window mode) I crash less. I have reformatted and it still happens and I know I am installing gpu drivers properly so that's not the problem. I crash in the middle of the game (hl2.exe stops responding) or some other error, and I usually crash on map change. I am starting to think that I have bad ram or something because I was looking at like one of those hardware things and it says I have like ddr 533 ram, which shouldn't it say like 667 because I have ddr 1333. Anyone else had this problem or know how to check if I have bad ram?

Only happens with TF2?

If it's only TF2, then your RAM should be fine.

Exactly what "hardware thing" are you talking bout?

Like a program that shows what hardware you have, and yeah it only happens in tf2 (Doesn't happen in CS:S, L4D2, DOD:S).

If you can't even tell us where you found this information, it's going to be painstakingly brutal to help you with this ...
