Basically, whenever I run TF2 and Mumble together, other programs I have open will slowly, but surely, begin to crash. Foobar2k crashes, utorrent crashes, pidgin crashes, opera crashes, a few times even mumble or TF2 themselves have crashed.

This only happens when those two programs are open together.

System is in sig.

I've tried a few misc things to get it fixed, but I'm open to any and all suggestions.

List of things I have tried with no luck:
Uninstall, reinstall, upgrade
Compatibility mode in Vista/XP with/without "run as admin"

I wondering if it doesn't have something to do with your sound card drivers?
I know mumble has 'positional sound' and that might be throwing fits with your drivers. That or maybe the compression it uses doesn't get along with other apps?

it uses CELT and Speex, not just the voice compression technology

I would first see if you can disable the positional audio, and go from there.
(These are just guesses btw, so don't hate me if they don't help.)

Guesses are all I can try. Which I'll start working on when I get home from work tonight.

I won't be surprised if it's a positional audio problem. I've had sound card problems before.

Well there is a bit in Mumble's FAQ that talks about how to forcefully enable that, so I guess there is a good chance it's disabled already. IDK for sure though. Mine is disabled, but I don't remember if I did that, or if it came like that. :\\
http://mumble.sourceforge.net/Games#Positional_audio
It shows 'basic support' for TF2.

Haha, well, if it turns out that I can use that and it won't cause issues, I'll just have to give it a try.
