Two billion dollars on a company that is less than 18 months old? Is their intellectual property really worth that much to intel? On the face of it sounds massively overvalued.

isn't that SOP for tech acquisitions and IPOs? I mean, hell video game companies were selling for billions decades ago.

AI is basically this generation's internet. Someone is looking to be the next Google, and Intel has a pretty good shot at it.

can you elaborate on this more? IE: AI is basically this gen's internet.

yessir, definitely agree there. my old man is 5 years out from retirement, so future tech investments are a common discussion.

unfortuantely, he didn't take my last bit of advice which was to go broke on AMD @ 1.5 a piece 3-4 years back.
