I did it last year, and here is the second coming. The Official (permission pending) OCN 2009 PC Game of the Year Awards.

If you dont remember, or just did not follow, here is a link to last years thread.

Anyways This thread is dedicated to creating a list of OCNs top 10 PC games of 2009, each person is allowed to nominate up to 5 games. On December 10th 2009, I will create a thread with a poll where you can choose one game to vote on as the OCN GOTY, and the Winner of the that will be announced Dec 24th.

So here Goes let your voices be heard.

The only rule is that the game must of been released on PC, it does not have to be a PC exclusive though. Oh one last thing, DLCs do not count as games, but expansion packs do.

Please follow said format:

1: Game X
2: Game Y
3: Game Z
ect

I will go first, I will start off by saying 2009 has been a horrible year for PC games, nothing memorable at all.

I can think of only 3 games to nominate

1: Dragon Age: Origins
2: Batman Arkham Asylum.
3: Modern Warfare 2

it should be dully noted that I did not even like any of those games. Other than MW2 Multiplayer, which is not even as good as MW's MP.

I did not include MW2 because that gameplay of just following some random guy and shoot enemies is getting way too old, and it's so damn linear that I don't feel the sense of player involvement. MP experience is decent but I've had much more fun elsewhere. It's very much the same reason why L4D2 was a borderline nomination for me, but at least it has enough improvements to make me want to sit down and play it. As for Batman, it's a blast. Frankly it's one of the best singleplayer action game this year. To be honest, Borderlands still takes the cake for me. Aside from a few technical problems, it's everything from innovation to great fun.

Cuz its such an Arcade style game. Its got great action, and a good emphasis on teamwork, but it has no substance to it what so ever.

I like plot heavy games (which is an absolute rarity when it comes to games), or at least games that use they plot as the basis for progression.

Left 4 Deads only appeal is being able to massacre zombies with your friends, which gets really really old really really fast.

I still choose Dragon Age although I'm already bored with its 70% conversation 30% battle gameplay.

IT's the only game I've played, released in '09, that's worth a damn. Plus, it has a proper AK47 with a proper sound.
