i guess i should ask, what is the advantage of flashing a vid card?
and what is the process?

1)flash bios to the better cards bios?
2)oc the vid card to match that bios?

is this the process? what are the advantages of doing this?

Yes, that would be the process right there. You flash the bios to get up a step without having to buy the card, to unlock all the goodies that were locked in say, a pro and not in the XT model. Usually supports the higher OC's better too, tho some people seem to have more trouble with flashing than it's worth.

Flashing a vid card will unlock a lot of things what zokus with one alteration: pipes. if you (use example= Flashing an SE into an XT), you will unlock pipes that were disabled in the SE bios. this way, you can unlock pipes and get a better overclock in your card.
