I love my MSI 790FX-GD70. But that gigabyte board is fine also.

The gigabyte board is great and all around very solid...

However, for air and water cooling the MSI GD-70 is your best bet for getting 4GHz or close to it

No use in asking that.

1) All chips vary in clocking ability
2) Overclocks are very touchy on Phenom II's and are very dependent on temperature, so it will vary even with the same MOBO
3) The skill and testing of the overclocker plays a huge part.

All I can say is that many people have seen results on the MSI board beyond that of any other board for the AM3 platform....All on air and water of course. In extreme cooling and benchmarking situations...the gigabyte is better.

the msi is hella good. But i just bought an asus crosshair III, i can't comment on overclocking with it, as i haven't gotten it in yet, but from what i hear it is one of the best overclocking AM3 boards, really positive reviews about that
