Im looking at the Abit IC7-G Max 2 Advance and the P4C800-E and was wondering which would be the better investment. I know the Asus costs more but is the the Abit worth a look. Thanks

They're both pretty much comparable. If one has a particular feature over the other that you would prefer, then use that as your deciding factor. If not, then it's pretty much a toss-up, as far as performance goes.

Both are pretty much the same except the P4c800-E has an additional IDE plug.

According to Newegg prices the ABIT is $139 and the ASUS is $180, is an additional IDE channel worth the $41 price difference.

For price and parts I think the IC7-g is the best bet.
