Also if you need some extra 140mm fans, I have some good one's sitting here doing nothing.
i know! unless i convince myself to wait for Kepler, SLI is coming after tax refund

you have the old blue LED fans? i would also like to swap em out for something better that doesnt light up. what fans did you fit up front? gentle typhoons?

dear lian li fans

i have been considering buying a pc-v1020b but a few drawbacks have kept me from doing so :

why does lian li not sell a pc-v1020b with a black interior ? it seems like a "black on black" edition would be easy enough for lian li to produce because they already have the black interior parts for the red version .

will lian li ever offer a side window option for the pc-v1020b ? they sometimes come out with a window sold separately for various models .

i wish lian li would consider using the exact same design of the pc-v1020b but make it five inches taller and turn it into a full tower model ( with black interior and window option ) .

lian li keeps coming out with great designs and super high quality cases but all too often each new model will lack some obvious attribute that frustrates the buying public .

I prefer the "naked" finish in Aluminum but the "painted" finish in Steel. Just get it, you won't regret.
As for the window, I don't think any case in V Series has a window. Is it really that important?

regarding the pc-v1020b :

the red version has a black interior . isn't the black interior of the red version made with black anodized aluminum -- not black painted steel ? ebolamonkey3 has the red model . he might know what the interior parts are made from . comments ebolamonkey3 ?

as for a window option on the pc-v1020b , it certainly is not all that important . but i like to have the option of using a solid side door or switching out to a window side door when the mood strikes me . i want BOTH doors .

also , i would probably swap out the included 140mm blue led fans for the lian li three color 140mm fans so i could select blue or red or green ( model CF-1412M ) and also swap out the top fan for a three color while i am at it . i would also swap out the 120mm rear exhaust fan for the three color lian li fan ( model CF-1215M ) . it is nice to change the fan color when the mood strikes .

so the whole idea is more choice than lian li normally provides . the lian li pc-x900b has some of these options and it comes with a side window . but i prefer the styling of the pc-v1020b . still i wish lian li would produce a big brother to the pc-v1020b five inches higher with a black interior and a window . then this great looking case could handle bigger motherboards and longer graphics cards . call it the pc-v2020bx special edition .

Quoting cause the man knows what he is talking about!!!

Things that are making me hesitate spending 250 on this thing...

1) No black interior
2) No side window option
3) No black interior

Maybe I should buy a red and a black one / switch interiors and sell the red one with the silver interior for $200 any takers?

1) Perhaps you should anodize it black yourself?
2) The V series never had a side window

How expensive do you think it would be to get the insides annodized?
I was looking at getting the side panel to the laser cuter and that should not be that expensive.

I think a dremel should be fine? ask Cyberdruid, he mods countless lian li's.
