Um... is my mobo fried

I did the pencil trick on my mobo, and booted, and checked voltage and I got 3.9V on my NB. Then it shut off.

So I tried to erase graphite, checked with mm, got 3.88... so i used some acetone, and that didnt help

Is is fried?

more than likely it's fried...can you tell me exactly waht the pencil mod entails, where it is performed on the pcb, etc.? because there's teh chance you crossed two channels in the pcb with the lead, and shorted it out. chance, i remind you, chance.

I've given up, its dead.

What is a good motherboard, not NF7-S, that can get 1.8+V on the Northbridge w/o mod?

No, it's not. Acetone contains additives and ingredients that could possibly damage components. Not very likely, but possible. Sounds like that's not your problem though.
