Every ROM i've ever ran has had all those quick settings besides the stock ROM which was missing media volume and brightness. So I completely agree!Originally Posted by Simca
My ROM comes with quick settings, but I never use it because my ROM is set up perfectly. I drag down the notification menu and have everything accessible there. Brightness slider, wifi, 3g, bt, etc. MIUI is awesome.
Perhaps it might be more useful for those on inferior ROMs though.
I wonder if there's any difference visually between the tegra and non-tegra versions?
Shadowgun should work on the GS2 fine, my roommate has the ATT GS2 and has no problems.Originally Posted by Chris13002

So far, I have to click and hold to aim around which is just like using your finger when you press and hold to aim...
Anyways, my main uses for my Android phone...
Music: PowerAMP (FLAC audio FTW)
Games: FieldRunner and Words Free (scrabble) except words is a battery drainer...
Gadgets: BatteryLife, 3GWatchdog(data assistant), Astrid(note taker)
Cool Apps: Airdroid (manage phone through pc browser), Securet Livestream (wireless webcam)
Are you using the App I just posted? The first screen says Connect and Friends. Once you're connected you hit friends and you're able to chat.
A good idea is to also set your Titanium Backup to back up every X amount of days/hours. I personally have mine set to back up at 3:00AM every day and a restart right after the back up. Keeping the phone nice and fresh!
Don't get too excited. Not everyone is in this closed beta, so you may have to wait! Seems like it's only people who opt in the Beta before the App came out! Which I always seem to do...
Might need to try this out then if it the prediction capabilities are as good as SmartKey X.Originally Posted by xd_1771
I can honestly not find a better Android keyboard than A.I.type Keyboard.
It is ridiculously customizable and has even more of a whackton of options than Smart Keyboard Pro. It loads super fast. It's got the looks customizability, as I said - there are several themes available. You can customize the keyboard layout itself, to some extent. But the real winner is that aside from all that, it has Swiftkey-like smart prediction capabilities - and you can choose from more than just 3 predictions![]()
No, rooting will cause no issues with your GPS. The only time you'll have any issues with your GPS is with non-100% functioning ROMs.Originally Posted by _AKIMbO_
Thank you Simca...getting an android phone (Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch) soon and this list was so freaking helpful.
Now I have a noob question. I've been reading that rooting can cause GPS to malfunction or not function as well as it would have on an unrooted phone. Is there any truth to this? It would be unfortunate for me b/c I use the GPS on my phone nearly everyday.
