By the way, if your applications are not added to the official list, people can feel free to scroll through the thread and find your apps as they were posted.

Might be a good idea to link to other app posts within the thread in one of your front pages. Makes it easier than scrolling through a thread of comments for the apps.

You should add Shush!.

I use this for class. It basically allows you to go into silent mode and then restore normal volume after a certain period of time.

Tasker is another great app to use. You can use this app to automate a lot of functions within Android. For example, I set up mine to automatically turn on WiFi when I'm at my house or at my campus.

Awesome list however I didn't see double twist with air sync. Its a very good app that allows syncing music over wifi without having to connect to a computer.

Deffinitly a sticky worthy thread and a plus Rep.

I'll think about adding it in the miscellaneous section, but which almost every post possibly being a recommendation, that could get cumbersome.

That's the 2nd double twist recommendation. I'll look into that app, thank you.

I know, I just rooted mine (Motorola Droid/Milestone) and tomorrow I'm taking it up to 1GHz from 550MHz.

This makes me want to update that thread I had with the list of awesome Firefox addons

Ok so how much Disk space do I reasonably need for some descent apps and a few good games?

I'm asking because I am getting my wife a tablet and the ones we are looking at only have a few GB of flash storage, although they do take SD cards.

16gb is more than enough for me, and I have 100+ apps.

Maybe a section dedicated to apps that use root would be cool, eh?

I can't actually use Doubletwist with Air Snyc, but I did try it out and understand what it's used for. Reason I can't use it is because my music collection is enormous and will not fit on any Micro SD card released in the United States. 277GB.

So I added it to the app list.

If you just have Apps and Games on your tablet or phone, you shouldn't honestly need any more than an 4-8GB SD card. It's the music and movies that take up a lot of space. For those wanting that on their devices, that will require larger HDDs.

ya you have to keep track on what you sink so that it would fit on the micro SD card. you have to use playlists to sync from and just watch how big the play lists are.

After playing with it for a while, Camera360 should be looked at. As a camera app, it's pretty awesome.

I have quickly reviewed the application and I thought it was going to turn out beautiful. The app has a lot of nice effects, but the largest problem is the app was created with a static resolution in mind and would not expand to my qHD screen. I simply cannot support an app that is as basic as this. It is the first and only Android App I've seen like this. Usually only Apple has this problem.

If you happen to have a resolution that fits this app though, give it a shot. It seems somewhat promising, with all the decent looking effects it has to offer.

Serious Sam Kamikaze Attack

Puffle Launch

Changed Animated Weather&Clock Widget to Beautiful Widgets. It is superior, but paid. If you desire a free widget similar, Animationed Clock&Weather is still nice.

Simca, have you tried Maxthon browser for Android?

I doubt it's going to bump you at all from using Opera (which I've tried, and it's quite good actually - except for the fact that it rearranges webpages in a very annoying manner. You should see how OCN looks on Opera mobile...). But lately, I started using Maxthon. Not only does it take up less space, but it uses a lot less RAM, important on the limited 256MB of the Milestone/Droid. The thing I like best about it though I'd say is the UI & gestures functionality, and the style with the grey theme

May be worth a try.

It actually ranks second on this list behind Opera Mini (which has Opera servers compress data before getting to your phone - interesting but firstly I would never trust my web browsing data going through other servers before my own, secondly I'd hate to have things such as image quality sacrificed, and thirdly I don't have 3G data enabled on my phone anyway since I don't have a plan for it)
