Twice, I've just wiped off the thermal paste off my CPU with a simple tissue as I didn't overclock and just did basic gaming and daily stuff. But, now I plan on seriously unlocking my C2Q to its full potential. So I was wondering, by not using alcohol or cleaners to remove the thermal paste before, will a considerable amount of the unseem thermal paste stay on the CPU even though I properly clean it this time with alcohol/cleaners?

I don't see any problem if you didn't clean absolutely all the thermal paste off. I think a thin film will not cause any issues. There are only 2 real issues you need to worry about with thermal paste; air pockets and too much paste. Air pockets are a very good insulator, just think of how a thermos is designed, they usually have hollow walls. Too much paste just makes the interface between the heatsink and chip too thick.
