ThermalRight IFX-14 with LGA 1366?

Is it possible to get a socket 1366 bolt through kit so I can use my IFX-14 with my i7, or do i have to get an entirely new cooler? I want to use the IFX-14 because air coolers don't get much better (or bigger) than this.

i would definately email thermalright to see if the true kit will work on it. because you won't be able to get a better air cooler than the ifx-14.

They use the same LGA775 mounts so 1366 should be the same. But they respond to emails so do that just to be 101% sure.

How much diffrent is the mounting for the 1336 compaired to 775? I know from first hand experience that the bolth through kits don't work for 775, the bolts are directly under the fins, and iirc they are a bit to tall aswell.

If thermalright does not have a kit for your cooler. One of the only board that support both 775 and 1366 mounting is the foxconn bloodrage.

Wrong, the vanilla Asus P6T supports both as well.

Here's the LGA1366 bracket for the IFX, you lose usage of the backside cooler though.

I have this bracket which is slightly different (crossed) and i'm thinking of ordering the ifx-14 instead of the prolimatech i was initially after.

Will mine do, or must i get the one on your link?

BTW what do you mean when you say lose the backside cooler? How do you lose function of it?
