Mozilla's preparing to make some big announcements at Mobile World Congress, but it's let one cat out of the bag ahead of its press conference. The ZTE Open is the first phone we've seen running Firefox OS other than a few developer units, and just as we figured it's an extremely low-end device

My ZTE blade feels sturdy, slow but sturdy and I'm fine with that, could have done alot worse for 90$ and I'm sure other see it that way to. Anyway, nice to see a launch of something that doesn't involve shelling out 900$.

I didn't see a price point mentioned. I'm assuming they are trying to compete in the $80-120 USD market. Basically all they have to do is fun a few core apps better on low end hardware than established OS's. Are they going to be the best in this market? Probably not at first. But competition is always good for business. Good for you, Mozilla.
