ive always been a fan of amd, but i'm thinking about venturing over to the other side this time and going w/ an intel perhaps. I was looking at the 6000+, and although its cheaper and beats the e6600 stock in most cases, i'm sure the e6600 could overclock much higher and rape the 6000+ lol. I was looking at even getting a quad, but i hear the g0 stepping is the one to get but its not out yet.

dual core is not even optimized in the LEAST yet. an e6700 beats a q6600 AT STOCK

dont forget that an E6600 can OC to 3.6GHz rather easily with decent AIR cooling.

E6600 is your best choice

quad core optimization will take a while.

For the price get a e6600 or evean an e4300/4400 (those things can OC to 3.4+) and they only cost $~105, quite a sweet deal IMO.

Just make sure you get a decent motherboard, either an intel P965 or P35

The 6000+ may have a higher stock clock, but it does come with a smaller cache
