Is this a good monitor, does anyone know? As anyone had really good experience with another wide screen monitor?
Also shouldn't it work with my 6800GS, I cannot find want resolutions it handles. Thanks guys.

The resolution is 1680x1050
If you click the specification tab on the right of the page in the link you sent it gives you the resolution etc. I don't have an answer for your other question because I am in the market for a widescreen monitor at the moment too.

Yeah sorry I know that the resolution for the monitor is, what I meant though was if my graphics card to handle that res.

You may want to check once real quick to see if your card can handle that res. It should, but better safe than sorry.
Other than that, it looks like a great monitor. It has good response time, high contrast ration, and high brightness. Should turn out to be a sweet monitor!

Looks like a great monitor to me. However make sure that your card can run those maximum resolutions..Thats if you wish to run max Res.

Also read up on some reviews.

Here are the monitor specs : http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_t...terid=24239727

Eh.. I've never liked Acer LCD monitors myself. If they are anything like what they put on their laptops, there will be light leakage, contrast and brightness issues. Otherwise, they are really rock solid monitors it seems like except for that. Just thought I'd give you a heads up.

Looks like a good monitor. I got this one and love it. A little slower and 1.9" smaller. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824116381 But when I got it I spent a lot more than the price it's at now... I'd say your choice is good.

Really??

Cause I have the same one hes looking at and it really really good.

Great color accuracy, and good viewing angles. No ghosting, no dead pixels, no bleeding, colors are the same from top to bottom.

I recommend that monitor 1000%

For the price, you aren't gonna find anything that will touch it.

Anyways dangeroushobo, I would get it if you have the money. I got mine from the Microcenter by my house, and only paid 11 bucks more then if I got it from newegg. See if you can get it locally for around the same price. Also don't get it from TigerDirect, chances are that you will never get the rebate, and your gonna be paying more for crap service.

np man, I was actually gonna get the samsung 225bw, but it has a problem with back light bleeding. and its a little bit more money. I had the guys at microcenter put them side by side and I thought the picture on the acer was alot better.

Its hella bright though, I have the brightness all the way down to 8.

Also you won't believe how big it is. I came from a 19" crt. and switching back and forth it makes the 19"crt look like a 15". I can get some pics if you want to compare the size with a common object.
