I have a z97 mobo, currently running Corsair vengeance 2x4 GB at 1600 9-9-9-24. I'm so tempted to get the Trident X 2x8 GB 2400 mhz modules. I have seen there be some difference in higher speed ram in games, but I wanna know, is it worth it to upgrade for the $100? Or should I try to sell my 960 and upgrade to a 970 or something else? Could I even overclock my vengeance ram? I'd need to learn the best settings for intel since this is my first intel build and I haven't explored a whole lot.

Yeah, it's only a 2 GB card. I jumped on the 960 when it first came out..But I've seen that the 4 GB model doesn't make much difference, the 960 lacks GPU power anyway. It's a great card and has impressed me, but it's a little bit of a letdown when i compare to my AMD rig with the 1090T and a 570. This intel rig is fast and quiet, but the 570 still somehow catches up pretty well with such little vram. Not sure how.
