I know this is a noob question, but I'm wondering if I got the wrong SSD. I recently purchased a Crucial c300 128 Hard Drive. I bought the 2.5" drive. When reading through the instructions, they only only mention notebooks. I wanted this for my desktop. Is this the wrong SSD?

no its actually one of the best tier ssd's, the desktop mounting is usually done via an adapter kit

Depends on what case you have. Some come with a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter. Most cases, however, will only fit 3.5" HDD.
No worries. If you don't have an adapter, just buy one.

The C300 128GB will work wonderfully in a desktop.

[edit]

If it is this one (one the right), you're golden.

I was just worried when the instructions mentioned nothing about desktops.

I believe my case came with a 2.5" bay.
