This may seem like common knowledge to veteren overclockers, but alas I am new. Instead of trying to deal with excessive temps from taking my multi to 13, I just lowered it to 12 and increased the fsb...so right now, running 3.29 per core, 12x 274mhzfsb with ram at 825 mHz....the temps are majorly lower...like load temps in dual prime95 around 43-44 instead of 55-6..close to same speed, better ram time, and way cooler...wow,

Yes, in almost all cases, if you have 2 identical CPUs at the same clock speed but one has a higher FSB and lower multi, the higher FSB will be faster, especially if the RAM can keep up at 1:1.

It is interesting that the temps varied so greatly however, I would have expected a smaller difference.
