I really need a new cooler for my Core i7 920, but I'm torn between what to get. I thought the Thor's Hammer or the TRUE Copper would be good choices.

Which would be better?

Well obviously the TRUE is a better choice but, that specific model is twice the price of the Thor's Hammer. But the TRUE will perform better.

Thor's hammer covers the whole top of the i7 cpu. The TRUE will not. Reason being TRUE was designed for lga775/AM2(idk amd) which uses a smaller processor than the lga1366. On top of that, The copper true weighs a ton.

The copper TRUE is way to heavy, unless you plan on making some ghetto bracket or something to support it.

Just get a normal TRUE?
