Picked up a Vantec Tornado 92mm fan today....
I knew it will be loud...so after all the installation job....
turned on my PC...and the fan noise is EXTREMELY LOUD!
It just freaked me out....I thought the fan was hitting something.

I wanna ask those who got this fan....how can you survive under this loud fan noise?!

my 120mm pushes about 110CFM and is about 50dB. After leaving it on for so long constantly, I just put a switch on.. I can't afford rheostats... lol..

I did checked before....but I never know the 56dB is this LOUD!
lol...oh well...i'll go back and refund it
but this fan really moves lots of air flow.....its like putting a desk fan beside me with the highest speed! crazy little thing!

I bet, 56dB is crazy loud. My Enermax 120mm fan pushes 95CFM and is only 30dB.... I can barely hear it with the case door on..... Plus it has a rheostat built in....

63.05 CFM is at 1800 RPM!! 94.92 CFM is at 2300 RPM!! It is a user adjustable fan. http://www.coolerguys.com/840556035015.html. The CFM rating is a range, just like the dB rating is a range. 63.05CFM~94.92CFM and 24.6dB~30.1dB.

A) I wear headphones that block 32db ambient sound (senneheiser 280 pro's)

B) I wired a switch and a resistor that pulled it down to 4k rpm, made a huge noise diff and not such a huge temp diff

and finally, C) I don't use that computer too much.
