I assumed that if I over clocked an FX6100 from 3.3 to 4.3 on an h50 and hold 50c under load that a 8350 from 4.0 to 5.0 with an H100i would perform the same, but under a load it will shoot from 30c idle 80c under a load in less then 10 secs.

I thought I had seated the block bad but I cleaned it up and reseated but still same performance.

any thoughts?

8350 is a 125w processor, 6100 is a 95w processor, plus i'd imagine you're using a significant amount of voltage to hit 5.0Ghz, those two factors combined are going to mean quite a bit of heat and difference in heat output

As no one knows how much voltage or any other overclocking options that you have, its hard to tell, but the above would be my gamble

Sound right to me, now to just figure out how to clock to 5ghz with lower voltage
