"Tight fix" or Tight fit? Are you talking about the memory slots being so close to where the card will be? I had an old ECS board(yes, I know they are POS's) and as long as I installed the ram before putting in the card it was fine.
HA! That's nothing.
This took me half an hour (way longer than normal) to install this (Galaxy GTX260+) in a customers Compaq Presario 2 days ago. He originally wanted a GTX295...
I had to swap out the sata cables for right angled ones to let the card seat.
The power supply is about a centimetre longer than the original one, so there's not much room there.
EDIT: was going to make a new thread for this, but it can stay here. Unless people want to swap cable terror stories.

LOL great job fitting all those in that tiny case. But its so cramped there will be no air flow. Did you warn your customer that his gtx 260 will be very hot in that cramped up case. There's no space left for a case fan

Ran Furmark through it for an hour and it was fine. The cooler that Galaxy puts on it is impressive.
There's actually a fair amount of ventilation, once you take the 80mm case fan and the 120mm in the PSU into account. Either way I never want to touch it again, for fear I may lose a finger in there
