That would certainly be a fairly significant upgrade from what you have, although I would advise against going with 16GB of memory, unless your doing some major encoding or photo editing there with large files

- i would also advise going with a Corsair, Antec, or Silverstone PSU, while CM Silent Pro are fairly good, they aren't as good as their counterparts mentioned before.

Thanks! I will look into that. Will probably get a Corsair 1000 watt maybe!

Your computer is still pretty good for most things.

What I would upgrade would be the graphic card to either GTX 560 or HD6950. And maybe upgrade hard drive to Hitachi 7k3000 2TB (think that is the model), it is EXTREMELY FAST.

I would wait until AMD has bulldozer out in June to upgrade Motherboard, RAM, CPU. Those are the core components and its better to see what everyone has out first, it will definitely save you money.

You could probably settle for a high end 850watt unit, but I'm no PSU expect by any means. Although, there are a few in the PSU section...

Do you plan on buying multiple monitors? That's a lot of GPU for one monitor. Wow, i just searched the model for your monitor. 1680x1050. I'd upgrade that FIRST! You will waste so much of that GPU on that monitor. For one, the GPU has 4GB vRAM, you'll never go over 800MB probably. You could probably max out every game at 1680x1050, max settings and run without your fan going.
No, I wouldn't try that, I was just being sarcastic. Eh, your money, but I think you should rethink the GPU/Monitor area.
