1-2 drops per 1 liter of water
after filling the loop

I am just trying to cover the bases, with the kit has a 24 pin adapter to jump start the PSU so you can have nothing else connected to power the pump...do that -_-

GOOD LUCK!!

Just fill up the res, turn on the pump with the power adapter, then when the res gets low, turn off the pump and fill it back up. keep doing that till it stops going down, and then just let it run for a while until you are confident everything is good to go. Just put a drop or two of the biocide in the res once it is full.

I only leak tested for a few hours. Just make sure all your fittings are plenty tight, and you should be good. The way I made sure my fittings where tight was, I tightened them down to the point of touching the Oring, then once they go there, I turned them about 3/4 of another turn, just enough to make the o-ring squish down a little bit.

Once the O-ring has been squished a little bit, the fitting is tight enough. Then make sure all your tubes are on good, and you clamps are tight.

You really don't need that stuff for a pure copper loop, you only need a biocide to prevent algea.
that protector is for a mixed metal loop.
those kind of additives can reduce your cooling power.

For filling a loop:

Fill res with water till its almost full.
Using the paperclip trick you can run your pump without hooking it up to you mobo.
Power on untill the water level approaches the inlet of the pump then power off.
Refill res and repeat until full.

Then you can tilt the case in different orientations to remove stuck air bubbles which will lower the water level so you will have to add more water.

PT nuke can be added at any time. Can pre-add it before filling. Or add it after.

Well it seem its a protector that actually protect against corrosion.. (which may be unneeded in my case) which also prevent algea and help the heat transfer. Its a home made product for watercooling which has been recommanded to me since i am in Canada. It should do as well as anything..

All went good.. it seem. But the pump is rather loud.. sometime it is and sometime it is not.. well its not that loud but we can almost hear a generator. Any idea ? I do believe its because of the bubble.. but its hard to make them going out..

i would run it for full24hours before connecting it up to the other parts again, i had my first leak after 4hours and the second i found after like 17hours, had to take the loop apart to fix it,
get the air bubbles out of the blocks by rocking the case now and then they will be gone after entering the reservoir after some time

It's loud because there's air in the loop. After u get it filled up. clsoe everything and wobble your case back and forth. That will get soem air bubbles out.

But over time, they will leave the loop and it will be a lot quieter

Thanks a lots guys.

The hardest bubble to get out are definitivly the ones in the tubes.. but i bet they gonna disappear after some time..

I also added only 1/4 of the protector since i think there isnt even 1L of water in the loop.

So now i only have to wait 24 hours. Hope everything will go well.

The good news is yes it passed the 24 hours leak test. No leaks at all !

The bad news is that the pump rattling like hell. I had to contact XSPC for replacement. They gonna send me a new one.. so this is sad but i have to wait to build my PC
if i don't get any news from the replacement i am gonna buy a new pump probably a D5 with a single bay reservoir.

I probably don`t have to mention it but when you are starting up the new pump make sure it have water in it when starting, if they run dry they will brake fast,

keep us updated
im waiting on a new Motherboard myself,

Yeah i know. Next time i will be more carefull about this.. but when i started it i filled it at the top.. maybe i waited too much time before stopping it to refill again.. i don't think that was the problem actually. This evening i will drain it.. and refill it to see if anything change.

fill it up at the top, turn on the pump for 2-4seconds or to the water level are bit less then 2/3rd down stop it and refill, start it let it drain some stop and refill again. on/off until the water start to go back into the reservoir, rock the case a few times and watch the water level closely the first minutes

plug off the fill port on the reservoir as long as the pump are going or it will drag a lot of air in to the system again

could the noise be air bubbles? mine made funny noises for a while but now i got no air bubbles left int he system and the noises have stoped

I have a special fill system plugged to a fillport.. can this lead to any problem ? i believe i have to be carefull to not put in too many water because air wont go out..
