Hello everyone. first post on overclock.net. have read this board for years but never posted because I was always part of other community's but id love to share future projects on with everyone on overclock.net This is a simple project but I think a good one worthy of a first post.

My motherboard in my I7920 build started becoming unstable. I got some "old" parts from a friend to put me something together until the next time I upgrade. I figured I really have not tore this system down completely and cleaned it in over 5 years. So this is a simple rebuild thread not sure how fancy it will turn out. I'm spending very little to get it going. using mostly stuff I already own. took pictures late in the rebuild wasn't originally planning on posting it

I also can only work on the project on my days off so sorry in advance for slow progress.

The hardware:
2500k (doner)
Asus Gen3 gene3 (doner) or asrock gen 3 z68
XFX 7970 ref
MSI 7970 ref (doner)
16GB gskill
Rosewill lighting 1300watt (brand new)

Taking the case apart. going to move the motherboard tray to the other side.

I have have some minor stuff on order. decided to get new fittings and a new cheap reservoir instead of using an old swift tech one. and some other bits to clean things up. trying not to buy what i don't need to be operational. I have a PS4 and Xbox one to pay for soon

Here's a minor update while I'm waiting for the reservoir.

Motherboard in reverse order. Made a custom bracket to keep the board raised ( stock tray location) from the bottom to make room for the fans on the lower radiator.

Was thinking about cutting bigger to allow a 3rd fan but decided against it. Made a bracket (not shown) to fit over this to keep two fans

Made a shield to keep things nice and clean. You will see what I do with this later.

I hope to have more updates soon. My birthday is tomorrow 30th and all I want is to work on my computer so well see what I can get done.

Still trying to decide what color I want to powder coat the inside of the case. I'm powder coating it myself. Was thinking silver/Smoke Chrome

I have 15 different colors mostly translucent and metallic colors

Thanks bud,
I did actually think about that but it lead me to going more towards a smoke color silver/grey I dont want it to look like the raw metal stock color of the tj07 or any other old case. still deciding.

Red and black has been done more then any color but I was thinking candy red inside with silver detailed bits. also because im not water cooling the cards. my only gpu block is a nickel plated EK and of coarse it suffered from flaking. im not investing in blocks for cards that will be replaced in a few months. Any how red and silver still matches the stock card color and no doubt will match the next cards from ATI. I want to modify the cards but would rather keep them stock so I can sell them in great condition.
