Ok so if you read the "This is Totally Sweet" thread then you would know that I along with some other people ordered a supposedly platnium X-Fi for $80 refurbished. I myself got an Xtrememusic with no front panel. I emailed them and they said that it comes with no acessories and the only thing I can do is either RMA for a refund or keep it.
I don't think its a good deal anymore now that its just an Xtrememusic so what do you guys think I should do.

P.S. I have an open dispute on paypal, so that they would reply to me.

If your not happy with it i would simply get your money back.

As for if you should return it or not, IMO, $80 is a good deal for an X-Fi! I would keep it. I would never give up my X-Fi

i got my x-fi refurb and its peachy. all you get in the reatil box is some crappy software and maybe the odd cable. the software you can prob get from creative's site anyway. the xtreme music with the front panel is about $200 and i think zipzoomfly sell just the card for $125. when you bought it did it say why it was refurbed? regardless of the reason for creative to be able to sell it they have to hand check it works unlike the retail that just roll off the production line. id say keep it. is it worth $45 dollars for a some software and maybe a cable? for me its not

Yes, but it was also supposed to be an X-Fi Platnium. I received an Xtrememusic. Is there any real difference between the two?

To be honest man I would just keep it as the Platinum is no different.

The card either way is going to sound awesome and that is cheaper then buying a new Xtrememusic so look at it that way. I added the Creative Care Plan to both my cards, so I basically got a 2 year warranty on a refurb card .

And at least they responded to your email, I got nothing back about the front panel. However I have moved on from that and am enjoying my few and far between luck.
