A single GPU is going to be "bottlenecked" by his system? So what you're saying is, no game can gain any FPS by going from his GTX 285 to GF100 (a card which I assume you've already tested)? That's what bottleneck insinuates. I challenge that claim, making any part of a system faster will cause some improvement, especially something like a GPU for a GAME.

The 5870 loses only by a little bit to the 295 in a lot of benches and even wins a few so if the 480 ends up being 10%+ faster it should beat the 295, Ofcourse anyone who already has a 295 doesn't really need to upgrade though.
