Need a heatsink for overclocking a i5 750 to 4ghz+. My only requirements for it are
1. it needs to fit in a Antec 900 w/o blocking ram slots, 2. It has to be less than $60 with fans and tax.
I like these heatsinks:
Mugen 2 $40
Coolermaster V8 $60
Xigmatek Dark Knight $45

Or I can save more money and get a Venomous-X or a Prolimatech Megahalem.

So my question is which one should I get if I decided to go for under $60.
And what is better a Megahalem or a Venomous-X because their basically the same price. Which fans should I get with these heatsinks? I don't want anything over 30 dBA.

Any other heatsinks that are better than these?

Really? Becuase a lot of reviews say it's good and the amount of heatpipes and fins it has is a lot mor than average. Or am I wrong?

Mugen 2 is on par/better than the Dark Knight and apparently costs less. Depending on your motherboard, the Xig may be better as it's not as wide.

Mugen 2 performs well and is cheap but is big
Coolermaster looks nice average performer and can only use 120x25 fans
Dark Knight solid performer a notch below the Mugen 2 and looks nice

If you dont plan on using a fan controller I suggest one of these fans

I would save up more money it will be worth it.

Depending on how much money I have to spend I think i will go with one of these:
1. Mugen 2 $40
2. Cooler Master V8 $60
3. Corsair H50 $80

Are there any better heatsinks than these for this price range?

I really like the Gentle Typhoon becuase it is so quite and had a high cfm. Thanks for showing me this fan, I will get it if I get the Mugen 2. But, $40 for the Mugen and $20 for this, is there a better heatsink I get for $60.

You should look into a H50 instead. I will be switching to that soon for my C2D e7400. You will get better performance from that then the V8. And its within that $80 price range.

Theres a link from Google Shopping. Good Luck!

go with a prolimatech megahalems/H50/Venom-x
those 3 are pretty much top 3 air coolers (h50 isnt air, but they all perform similiar)
for about $75-80 you can get a Venom-x and a fan and it works amazing. well worth the extra 40 bucks over some other heat sinks you suggested.

either of those 3 will be the best. they all perform great. save some money and grab one, you wont be disappointed and itll last you a good couple years im sure.

the megahalem, TRUE, Venomous X IFX-14 and Cogage Arrow are all around $65 are all better than the Mugen 2 and the V8. The IFX-14 and the Arrow both made by Thermalright can use 3 fans. The H50 will give you the best cooling performance/low noise but its more money than the rest.

Or you could try to find the All Copper TRUE. XD If you can manage to mount it without snapping your motherboard, good on you. 1.8kg is a ***** sometimes. XD

I think I might save money and go with a H50 because of it's performance and low noise. Will I have to take out my current 120mm exhaust fan off my case though? And I've heard the H50 works better with a intake fan. If this is true I will have 5 intakes and 1 exhuast in my case
. I don't think that will be good. Any suggestions on how I can make the H50 work for me?

All fans are the same. They all blow in one direction. If you want intake make it blow in and if you want exhaust, flip it and make it blow out.

Should be able to at least. There are no guarantees though. a 1.34ghz OC is pretty large for anything.
