Hey,
Updated 11/06/19
"Some followup guide*

**3/30/20
Some new updates, new mousepads.
Skypad Glass Mouse Pad
Skypad Steel Mouse Pad
Incoming Aluminum MousePad polished-Sandblastedx3 should be the same as the SS SX hopefully, I will update when it arrived.

1 . Another good information will be if the item wears out quickly or at all in some /month/years
2. Please if you can add what type of hard mat is it ( Ex: Aluminum, Glass Coating and such ) inc for the cloth mats too.
3. If you can write the name of the mouse pad alone/solo after the full write up.

(I'll make a poll vote when we have enough mousepads to vote for)

after we have enough hard mats, we'll take the suggested cloth mousepads for another poll.

Please let's make a list of the top Hard mousepads for dedicated gaming buying guide, cause reviews are ok, but how do you know what mousepads are currently best to look for? easy question, hard answer.

For my top list I have currently one wish, to get a mouse pad exactly the same as SteelSeries SX which is my most true mouse pad ever, nothing can win this mouse pad.

What I know and can recommend are from durability-speed-precision

I am not gonna recommend at all on Razer mousepads, I had enough of them because there are others way better and cheaper.

Please suggest yours, I tried a variety of mouse pads including the QCK, I didn't like it or any cloth mousepads, so make sure you suggest only Hard pads first and then you can take notice about very good cloth pads.

Request :
Please notify me if something is not correct and if you can fill the unknown ones.

I only use SS QCK pads with the cool graphics, so long as it can track decently its a win win for me.

I have had 3 WoW Qck pads

1 Starcraft

and now I am using the Portal 2 one.

I noticed a dramatic difference when I went from a hard pad to a cloth, I will never go back to a hard pad, they wear out and get smooth.

But I guess I don't belong here, then. Won't stop me from defending the cloth pads. -_-

The only hard pads I'd use are the G-TF Rough and Speed from Zowie, although they are called cloth or hybrid pads.
Top cloth pads from my experience are:

QCK Heavy
Corepad Deskpad
(hopefully my ordered Artisan Hien)

This is most of the ones I'd recommend. I'd say the Mionix Propus 380 is actually really good when it's not worn down yet. Also I have no idea what the new Goliathus pads are like but my 2nd gen "fragged" graphics Alpha Control Edition is excellent.

Is this same as SteelSeries SX ? on quality, wear, glide, precision ?

I never used an SX so I can't tell. Like I said it's a smooth anodized aluminium surface, so it will last you a couple years if you take care of it. The quality is good. It's a smooth glide fairly quick but not too much, the glide is kinda like an Artisan Shiden but better because it doesn't have a crazy amount of static friction like the Shiden has. It's definitely slower than a Destructor 2 for example. Precision is good. The noise is really minimal. But it has the same "faults" as other aluminium pads. It gets cold, you have to keep the surface really clean because any dust or other stuff on it will make a horrible scratching noise and could damage the mouse feet and/or the pad itself. But it's really easy to clean on the other hand. It's also kind of a bother to move around if you go to LAN events for example. And it eats mouse feet. It's a good pad I just prefer cloth type as it's more convenient, less of a hassle for me to use.

Artisan Shiden Kai Mid is in a different class from other cloth pads. Anyone who is looking for the best cloth pad and hasn't tried it is missing out. I've also had mine for 3 years of heavy use and it's still intact (aside from some edge fraying).

The second best cloth pad I've used is the Xtrac Hybrid, which has an oily feel vs the glassy smooth feel of the Artisan. Worth checking out if you want a bit of resistance but don't want any of that start/stop friction catching that can happen with cloth pads. The Shiden-Kai has a glass coating and the Hybrid is doped in plastic, which carries through to the feel of the pads. Does anyone else have a Hybrid? I really think it's a great pad.

I might order one. I was looking for this kind of mouse pad.
it's going to be a really good thread if we get all the best mouse pads here. we should have a thread for this. there are too many mouse pads with unknown quality, and we should have some expectations from what we should get, but what is better than someone else experience that could save you a bit of money, and the right decision to buy the right one.

I already ordered before this thread : 2x Artisan Shandi-Kai Mid , 2x Logitech G440, 2x G4 Ngen, I have no idea what the hell I'll do with them all if this GGS Titan will be same as SX, where have you been ! xD

That's what I said about saving money.

EDIT : I ordered the GGS Titan, I hope it will be even better than SX. I hope it will last long and this company to stay alive forever if the mouse pad that good xD

So G440 is a good mat huh? Bloody Logitech retailer in my place told me it's bad
frown.gif

Anyway, I'm pretty happy with the SS 9HD, and have a slight feeling that it'll go on for really long. The G440 still knocks me though.

I hate Razer products too, but I'll have to say for that cheap price the Sphex was really rather nice, I tortured it so much, still it was good for almost two and a half years! If someone wants to just try a hard mat then that's the one I'll recommended, because it's so cheap.

Best hardmat i have is G-pad
Since it's a glass mousepad, it will most likely not wear out
Sweat doesn't affect glide and it wont get a dirty spot where your wrist is like on a hien mid where you have to wash it all the time)
It's very easy to clean, and it always look as good as new.
It's probably one of the fastest pad available, initial glide is extremely fast.

The fastest cloth i have is a Zowie G-TF speed and Puretrak Talent.

any chance we can put this sticky ?

same as the mice thread I'm sure it will help people, for me specific I wouldn't even know about the GGS mouse pad which I ordered, if without this thread.
