So an many of you may know, the Total War series is a grand strategy game that is set apart from others such as Crusader Kings and Europa Universalis by its inclusion of real time micro level battles with control of units of soldiers. The latest to date is TW:Rome 2, launched in September 2014; and as you may also know, it was a disaster on launch and utterly unplayable afterwards for a few weeks. But now, with 16 patches and thousands of mods, the game is very much playable for most and looks great with mods. And since the Steam sales have come and gone, if any of you have it, here's a thread for it.

List of problems and recommended must have mods for solutions

Big fan of TW and Rome 2, although I haven't been playing much as of late. I'm kinda stuck in my main long Rome campaign because slaves (don't enslave after victory) and high tier buildings are causing happiness issues in some provinces so several of my legions are stuck balancing that mechanic. That and I have to either break alliances (Carthgage and Nuva Carthago) to progress south, or head North/NE towards Britannia/Suebia.

I upgraded to a 1440p monitor a few months ago, but the game still performs well and looks great with a single 980. I am looking forward to Attila though, hopefully it is more polished at release than Rome 2 was. It looks like CA has learned from their mistakes with Rome 2 and is going back to a Shogun esq user interface.
