The Inno3D GeForce GT 240 had only just launched but it has already been given the i-Chill treatment with XStriker3. Uniquely designed for passive and active cooling solutions, the Xstriker3 was the first cooler specially designed for Inno3D i-Chill series - built to increase efficient air circulation for extreme gaming. Inno3D i-Chill GT 240 is built with top-notch quality, which includes faster core speeds; gold plated DVI+VGA+HDMI connectors that allows better signal quality; top quality OS-CON capacitors; aluminum ramsinks to stabilise memory; with full game bundles and 3 years warranty.

How's the performance for the GT 240? Does it OC well?

From what I see, the cooler looks cheap, though I can't see that small picture well.
Anybody else that can't stand those double-underline pop up ads?

It's basically a reference design with an aftermarket cooler. IMO it's a good deal for the price since it's cheaper than buying the card and cooler separately.

It's a little slower than the 9600GT.

Can't SLI through hardware (no SLI connectors) nor software (Check out THG's review. They confirmed with Nvidia it can't software SLI)

I was under the impression that there is also a 59W version of the 9600GT that doesn't require a 6-pin power connector. How does the GT240 compare to that?

The low power 9600GT is likely underclocked
I would imagine that it performs on par with the GT240 or a little worse

If you guys nicks were John and Bob I'd value your opinion.

@topic

Reminds me of my ECS 88GT Accelero cooler:

It keeps the card real cool. I wish not only the low end cards used better cooling solutions.

Actually, they are tiny (perhaps big compared with default vga fans that come with those reference cooling solutions).

They kept my card cool. 50C with 30C room temp, considering the 88GT is a pretty hot card.

But mine broke, f'ing cheap plastic holders.

I just put a 80mm Noctua sitting on top of my sound card with rubber pins so it doesn't touch the card, and it blows air into the VGA.

My temps went up only 2C with this workaround. However, with no fan my card heats up to 90C, freezes and I have to reboot. I had this problem after I installed GTA 4, I thought it was the game, but then I opened my case and the fans had fallen -_-'.

to non-reference cooling solutions!
