NZXT has taken the original Tempest and fine tuned it, adding a nice list of new features to the case, while managing to keep the price the same upon launch. This new case, called Tempest EVO scores further points with us for the black interior along with small updates to the overall functionality as well as the new aspects in design. Considering the price tag, Tempest comes with plenty of cool features that aren't available in a lot of enclosures. NZXT already managed to turn heads by including six fans into the original Tempest and the EVO continues to offer the same number. This creates some great air flow, but you better be prepared for some noise in that regard. The market segment of the 100 US Dollar enclosures is easily the thoughest of the entire case market and while NZXT Tempest EVO does go with a bit of plastic to realize the overall design, it still feels sturdy and does manage to combine all features and aspect for a cool looking and fully featured chassis. The new features, released around two years after the first Tempest, breath new life into the case and its design and the new changes do warrant the "EVO" addition and marketing as a new case.

I love the name and it looks like a improved A900 which is something Antec should be doing.

Yes, I like it a lot. I think my Antec 1200 is just a bit too big. I'm considering doing a new build when the Phenom II X6 and AMD's new chipsets come out 1H 2010, and if so, that would be my case.

It seems like NZXT likes to improve on Antec's offerings.
Sigh. Why does everything seem to look like the antec900's these days?

The new one came out 2 months after I got mine!!!!

Noticeable changes:
Painted black inside
Rubber around cable management holes
PSU can suck air from underneath the case
Yeah the tempest tried to copy the antec 900 and now after the 900 got revised with the 902 the tempest got its revision. Just having the cpu cutout means Temp evo > 902. Its such an easy feature, they put it on the $50 antec 200 case but not their more expensive 902.

But i would never buy this for $110 + $24 shipping that newegg wants.

Meh im still avoiding NZXT cases. Last one I bought was cool but had some poorly made parts. I had heads falling off screws and parts that didnt fit where they should very well.
