Sapphire expanded its Radeon HD 5700 series with the Sapphire HD 5770 Vapor-X. This release comes around a month after the HD 5750 Vapor-X, and resembles it in having the same GPU cooler: a GPU contact block with a Vapor chamber acts as a large heatpipe, uniformly conveying heat to the heatsink above it, which is cooled by a fan. Unlike the HD 5750 Vapor-X which comes with a blue reference PCB, this one retains the black reference one, with the cooler being the only noticeable change.

Old? As far as I know the Vapor-X version of 5770 just got unveiled.
Sweet might have to pick one of these up. Wonder how much premium they well charge?
Is it worth it though? The 5770's don't get as hot as 4890's.

I could see me finally going with a 5770 for one of these models. I wish it were more like the 5870 vapor-x of course, and exhausted out the back.

Is there memory cooling on it? I can't tell from the picture.
Perhaps with the VaporX version we'll start seeing 1000 core clocks on 5770's. It'd be interesting to see where they start to become memory-bandwidth capped however.

I haven't heard of this til now. Looks pretty sick. I bet it will run so cool, because these cards run chilly anyway.

Neither do most aftermarket coolers. So what?

The heat this thing produces is miniscule, even less than an 8800GT.
