Vupen doesn't go into details about the security bugs it has identified, logically enough, since the value of the exploits it markets depends on their effectiveness and longevity. Spilling the details on a vulnerability makes it more likely that vendors will come up with patches sooner rather than later, something that works against the "government-grade exploit" side of Vupen's business.

Not really that big of a deal, since people have been penetrating into Windows since day 1.

"Yeah, Windows 8, take it right in the command prompt, yeah, yeah, let Windows 7 unload it's registry hive all over the place, yeahhhhhh"

Surprising that no one seems to bash Windows 8 with the "I knew this was going to happen" or "Windows 8 tanked!"

Yeah, IE's hardly "safe" compared to other browsers like Chrome, Firefox and Opera.

Although I will give it to IE for not being able to go into options and view all the saved passwords w/o any confirmation like you can in Firefox and Chrome. You may not believe me but it's there, go searching.
