you have a 590... so that makes it easy...

you need 3 monitors that support the same MAX Res..

and plug them in...

And ofcourse enable it in the Nvidia control panel

3 of the same monitors are the best due to the colour differences and lining up the screens
my question is if crysis supports?
You can configure the number of monitors in the Nvidia control panel. Click the "multiple monitors" section in the left pane of the control panel.....take it from there. It's pretty easy to setup. Make sure SLI is enabled and then click "expand" (I think this is the name of the option you select) for the 3 monitor setup (or more specifically Nvidia Surround). YES nvidia surround works with crysis 2.
the game doesn't need to support it....

it is just a res...

so it works with 90% of games...

crysis, Crysis WH, and Crysis 2 all work with it...

i know this because i have tried them myself

with 2x480s... i can run crysis 2 on hardcore settings with 3x1080p screens

Like the other posters have said, it is just a matter of getting 3 of the same monitors, enabling the multi-monitor setup in your NVIDIA Control Panel, and Viola! Game compatibly should not be an issue with a single card; most people run into problems when they are running SLI/Crossfire if games don't properly support it

Hope that helps.

am i supposed to get a special res or something?

he has a 590... which has internal SLI...

so same issues as everyone else...

but that is also the reason why he only needs 1 card...

because of Nvidia Surround... you need 2 cards in SLI...

which i can actually understand...

because it is literally 3 times the amount of work

so to run new games at high or maxed settings.. you will need more then one card...

but as i said.. his card is pretty well a 2 in one

3 screen @ 1080p = 5760x1080

or 5916x1080 in my case when u use the Bezel Correction to make it so the picture lines up over the screens

Sorry just woke up... I thought I had read 580 instead of 590... and I know very little about NVIDIA Surround so that is good to know. Too bad he didn't just get an eyefinity card

Crysis 2 supports 3 monitors but the cutscenes will be reduced vertically, people's heads will be cut off, and the side monitors are zoomed so it looks kinda crappy in game.

If you are playing only the new games from the last few years you won't run into any issues but once you back up to 2006 and earlier most games won't run it without lot's of issues and some won't run at all.

Yes, all crysis games (first one, warhead and 2) support surround.
I'm playing cysis 2 in surround. Looks awesome.

All you need is 3 monitors with the same resolution and refresh rate, and you are set.
it says i cant have 3 at once only 2 so is it possible to play on 2 or is there a special cable i need?

i have nothing against ATI... i still own one of there cards...

but from what i have seen myself... one GPU can't keep up with 3 screen with a high graphics level set...

yes i do like the fact that with ATI/AMD you only need one card for 3 or more screens...

but it is a bit of a let down when you have to have your grahpics really low in order for it to run smooth...

it would be like running 3 screen on 460... i wouldn't recommend it

yes it would work...

but they wouldn't be powerful enough to enjoy it

What do you mean you can't have 3?

You can play on 2, but I don't recommend it. The center will be where the frames meet, and it will look really bad to play like that.

You are taking too much credit from today GPUs.

I used to have a 5870 which powered 3 monitors pretty well.
Yes, you won't be able to go DX11 and full details, but at DX10 or 9, with high settings, it runs games very smoothly.

Its just depends on what you want from the game.

Also, don't forget that the AMD cards now usually pack a 2GB memory with a very strong GPU inside. So its more suited and works very well.

so you have 3 screen with the same max res?
